County Connectivity

Envisioning A Future with a Countywide Bike-Ped Network

According to the United States Census Bureau, Baldwin County has a total area of 2,027 square miles (5,250 km2) and is the largest county by area in Alabama and the 12th-largest county east of the Mississippi River.

The Baldwin County Trailblazers is finalizing a years-long joint effort with the Baldwin County Commission to approve a countywide blueprint for bike-pedestrian corridors. The plan represents a consensus of the county and its 14 municipalities for connectivity between the jurisdictions, guiding the future buildout of these bike-ped pathways to the best advantage of all our communities. In addition to east-west links, the network will connect to the proposed rails-to-trail line between Foley and Bay Minette.
